Property Registration

OVERVIEW:
According to the Codified Ordinances of the Township of Union, all rental properties and all vacant properties in Union Township are required to be registered annually by the owners.  These Ordinances are in place to ensure that every township resident has safe and sanitary housing, to protect the health, safety, and welfare of township residents, to prevent blight, to protect property values, and to avoid the creation and maintenance of nuisance properties.  You still have to register your property even if your property is vacant or being renovated, your tenants are relatives who are 18 or older and not on the deed, or you don’t collect rent on the units.

REGISTRATION IS A TWO STEP PROCESS:
Step 1 – Complete the Registration Form 
Step 2 – Pay the Applicable Fee                                                          Make checks payable to Union Township.                                           Once the form is completed, mail the form and payment to:
